“Sunshine Japanese Yasashii Nihongo Radio”, or “Sunshine Japanese Easy Japanese Radio”, is a beginner Japanese language learning podcast. Yoko is a Japanese teacher that has been teaching Japanese for many years, and teaching Japanese in Cairns, Australia since 2007.
Yoko has a company called “Sunshine Japanese”, and has a website where she also teaches Japanese. I would rate this as an upper beginner level podcast because Yoko mainly speaks in Japanese on each episode. She does have short phrases that she will say in English, or explain what the episode is about in English, before she begins speaking japanese.
Yoko started the “Sunshine Japanese Yasashii Nihongo Radio” podcast in May of 2020. She releases about one episode each week, and has a total of 158 episodes as of May 2023. Each episode is about five to ten minutes long, and Yoko talks about a variety of different things during each episode. Everything from everyday life, to social media, to food, to how to do things in everyday life. Yoko’s website has a number of different types of Japanese language classes that you can pay for. She also posts transcripts of the podcast, in Japanese, on the company website. You can use this to practice reading Japanese.
