The "Yukiko Radio 日本語ペラペラ" Podcast for Japanese language learning is for intermediate, and advanced, Japanese language learners.
I cut the name of the podcast short, as I had a difficult time trying to determine exactly what the name is. I guess technically it is “日本語ペラペラ” 聞くだけで日本語会話がうまくなるラジオ (Nihongo pera pera kiku dakede nihongo kaiwa ga umakunaru rajio). Which basically means “become proficient at speaking Japanese by listening to Japanese conversation radio”.Yukiko speaks only in Japanese on her podcast episodes, although she may throw in a short English explanation every once in a while. Yukiko began uploading episodes of the “Yukiko Radio 日本語ペラペラ” podcast back in April of 2021, and currently has 50 episodes released. The episodes average around 15 minutes in length, but there are some as short as 5 minutes, and some as long as 30 minutes. This is one of the few one person podcasts that I enjoy listening to. Yukiko talks about many different topics. Everything from Japanese culture (of course), onomatopoeia, grammar, verbs, and many other things.
She will even have her students on her podcasts sometimes. Although, I don’t like listening to these types of episodes. I don’t want to be ‘elitist’, but I don’t like listening to Japanese learners that don’t pronounce words very well. I have enough trouble pronouncing Japanese, I don’t want to pick up any bad habits. But, I highly recommend listening to her other episodes, as you will learn a lot from Yukiko.
